Isometric exercises are exercises where you create tension in a muscle without changing its length, and when you keep the angle of the joints the same against resistance. This isn’t bad advice, but some of the best exercises I know aren’t “moves” at all. If you’re looking to get stronger and fitter, the first advice you often hear is to start moving more and lifting weights.
